There's a first time for everything.

The first time I attempted to steer a boat, for instance....and yes, I'm the one in those two photos.

So I hope you'll bear with me when I tell you that
this website is yet another of those firsts.

I'm Veronica Watson, and I live somewhere tucked away in the smallest English county of Rutland. I've been hung up on photography for as long as I can remember, starting out with a Kodak Box Brownie when I was ten. I happily snapped my way through life....and a variety of cameras....until I chanced to venture into the DSLR world a few years ago.

A steep learning curve followed as I grappled with the considerable intricacies of digital photography.
I immersed myself in a variety of courses and a number of travel workshops in far-flung places.......a sort-of photographic hunter-gatherer among a plethora of wonderful experiences.

I love landscape and travel photography, but I don't restrict myself to those themes. My aim isn't really to specialise in a particular genre.....more to convey a narrative.....my interpretation perhaps.....or the emotions evoked in me by a certain subject or scene. I want the viewer to see what I saw......feel what I felt.

So has it all paid off, I wonder........but maybe that's for you to decide, if you care to wander through the pages of my portfolio.

Oh, and by the way, that boat I mentioned earlier thankfully survived my maiden voyage.
